System design engineer responsible for main circuit equipment, system performance and execution of STATCOM tenders and projects.As system designer, I am a key team member for the success in tenders and projects with both internal and external stakeholders, for example other discipline leads and main circuit equipment suppliers.In my role as system designer I have also been involved in quality investigations, continuous improvement, system studies (DPS) and as technically responsible for High Voltage CIrcuit Breakers.In the fall of 2022 I joined the field services team as commissioning engineer for a 300 MVAr STATCOM project in Germany, also including customer trainings.

Master's thesis - "Active power losses within Ringhals on-site power system" written together with Marco Ramos.Abstract: "An on-site power system in a nuclear power plant, such as Ringhals, include many components. There are active power losses in every load, and a mapping of induction motors, transformers and generators has been conducted. The losses in the on-site power system is dependent on the generator's terminal voltage, where a lower voltage yield larger total active power losses as the current is increased. The power factor is decided by the transmission grid and will alter at any given moment. When the on-site power system operates at a lower power factor (lagging), the losses are higher. Operating the system at leading load yields lower losses in the on-site power system. There are four boundary conditions to operate the generator. These boundaries consist of rated load of the step-up transformer, reactive power output limit, stability margins for the generator in under excitation and terminal voltage for the generator.In conclusion, the lowest possible active power losses in the on-site power system is when the generator consumes reactive power. However, when the generator is consuming reactive power it is forced to operate in under excitation, resulting in the generator approaching its stability limits.
