Professional Experience:I joined the German Biotech Industry in 2000 and took a position with Xerion Pharmaceuticals AG, developing therapeutic antibodies on the basis of phage-displayed single chain antibody fragments. In 2005 I changed to a company concerned with the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases. Avontec GmbH was using a nucleic-acid based approach to inhibit the activity of transcription factors by taking advantage of so-called decoy oligonucleotides. In 2009 I accepted an offer from 4SC AG to head the development of the HDAC inhibitor resminostat, the oncological lead product of the company, in liver cancer, Hodgkin's lymphoma and colorectal cancer. Since July 2015 I act as a Senior Consultant for Granzer Regulatory Consulting & Services.Education:2007-2009 postgraduate MSc in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the University of Essen-Duisburg, 1993 PhD in Biochemistry and Immunology from the University Tübingen1989 Diploma in Biochemistry from the University Tübingen
