About Stefany Goradia

I work at the forefront of data, pop health innovation, and health equity to explore new ways to the close the gaps in healthcare that we all continue to fall through. My work connects people, data, technology, and ideas to explore new, often digitally-enabled, approaches to population health, strengthen collaboration, encourage meaningful progress, and prepare the next generation of healthcare and health data + technology leaders.Through a lens of data-driven evidence and social context, I'm focused on sharing and learning, increasing mutual understanding, elevating new perspectives and voices, and aligning goals and incentives to create better healthcare programs and policy. For me, equity in healthcare represents quality, accessible, appropriate, and effective healthcare—something that we are all striving toward for our own reasons, but striving toward together nonetheless. I see it as a practical and tactical framework for achieving better outcomes, sustainability, and strengthening every aspect of healthcare, from operations and service delivery to policy and leadership. With "in the trenches" experience spanning Medicaid programs, private health systems, health plans, and service providers/vendors, I’ve turned data into actionable strategies, launched initiatives, and integrated technology to enhance decision-making over the course of my career. While non-linear, my work is consistently rooted in relationships, collaboration, and purpose, with the goal of sustainable, data-driven improvements. In 2017, I co-founded a health analytics company, leading to an acquisition in 2021 by a data and software services firm. In 2023, I co-launched a regional innovation hub to advance digital health and technology for health equity. Now pursuing a PhD, I’m deepening my expertise in system and social contexts to design solutions, policies, and programs that deliver impact.I’m passionate about modernizing outdated paradigms to better meet needs, uncovering hidden opportunities, and creating equitable strategies that translate evidence-based research, data, and human experience into feasible strategies.Subscribe to my newsletter: https://healthdata.guru/Skills & Expertise:- Healthcare Research + Claims- Health Equity + SDOH- Population health + Managed Care- Medical Economics- Convening + CommunityResearch Interests:- Impact of language/framing on health equity- Systemic drivers of inequity in healthcare and supporting data- Data-driven innovation in population health- Translating research/evidence into tactical policy/program implementation
