I am trying to create myself in a way that allows me to make a difference in big and small ways all while enjoying the things I love most. I am a mom, wife, sister, friend and professional nurse.I graduated in 2017 with my bachelors degree of nursing at the University of Utah, earning Cum Laude Honors. I am energetic and eager to continue to learn throughout my career with the goal of returning to graduate school to earn my master's degree and possibly doctorate degree. My clinical experiences during my education and years in a large trauma one medical center have taught me the skills to critically think utilizing the nursing process and the keenness to care for people from a holistic perspective. I find that I have the ability to sincerely connect with people, a characteristic I believe will allow me to make a difference in the patients and families that I will care for. I also possess many leadership skills I have gained prior and during my nursing career as a charge nurse where I must manage all staffing, patient loads, and critical situations while collaborating with all disciplines. In this role I have mastered skills in advocacy for my staff and patients, communication, delegation, and keeping composure and professionalism in all situations.My decision to enter the profession of nursing cannot be attributed to a single experience, but a succession of experiences starting as a young girl that has shaped me with loyalty, dedication, affection for people, and a passion for science. I am constantly in a state of growth and learning throughout my career.
