As part of the T4 (Edmontonians Transformers) I held the space of Vision and Values Clarification Expert. Sharon Maclean, then Publisher and Owner of the magazine put together 4 specialists in key areas of business and life transformation. We had Les Brost (conflict expert), Tom Bradshaw (speech and presentation expert), Dr. Larry Ohlhauser (Health and Wellness Expert) and me (Vision and Performance) . We had the amazing experience of assisting solo-prenuers and small business owners to break through barriers and issues in their professional and personal lives to take their businesses to the next level. We wrote about the journey monthly in the Edmontonians Magazine and even had our own TV segment on CityTV in 2005! A brilliant idea and amazing results.

Hired on paid contract by Kevin Prendergast (DPP) and Glen Sather (GM) to work with players on their on and off ice conditioning. My first task was to translate physiological testing results for draftees and build their off-season training programs for them based on the results. With my skating and AT background I then morphed into their Skating Coach for 9 seasons. My focus was on assisting the best skaters in the world get faster and more efficient. This environment and experience gave me the foundation to build my businesses today.

In 1984, The CFSA, now called Skate Canada contracted me to be a part of the Technical Working Committee for their new Power Skating course. Led by Harold Sher, this committee designed and developed the program. We reported to the Board of directors and our Chairman was Marilyn Chidlow. In addition to going to Ottawa several times a year and working with our committee to create a viable and long term program for the Association I was also tasked to write the Course Conductors manual. As I was the only person at the time on the committee dedicated full time to teaching power skating, and with the contacts from OHS and Pro Hockey players I was also tasked to write and direct the Instructional video and the promotional videos. Once the program was launched we dedicated the next year to seeking out and training Skating Coaches interested in learning the CANPOWERSKATE programming and philosophies to become Section Course Conductors. Harold and I then put the Course Conductor course together and delivered it 3 or 4 times to coaches from across the country.In 1996, 2000 and 2017 Skate Canada hired me to update the program to make it as current as possible as the needs of their members and member coaches grew.From designing the drills, the levels, the logo, the achievement system of badges to writing and producing the videos. This foundation taught me that I really can and do anything I put my mind to.This program is still current and viable today and is one of my proudest accomplishments.

Skating Instructor at the World renowned Hockey Schools. Hired by Larry Lund and Rick Kozubak. For 9 summers I worked in Pentiction, BC. There were satellite camps in Edmonton, AB and Calgary,AB.Programming for OHS was initially designed by Power Skating Pioneer Laura Stamm however Larry and Rick allowed me to build my own program and teach it within their school every summer. This experience gave me the confidence and intensity to step into working with Pro Hockey players with clarity and focus. Their trust also locked in my commitment to building my skating successes into a viable business and to mentor other skating coaches and hockey professionals to see 'Hockey PLAYER Development' as an important component. Not just 'Hockey Development'-we focus on each player as an individual and his or her development process.
