Working as part of the Covid Response Team in the Covid-19 referral hospital in Northern Mindanao, my job as a Medical Laboratory Technologist is to collect blood samples as and swab samples of suspected/ confirmed Covid-19 patients. Aside from sample collection I also working as a rotating Medical Technologist which includes processing blood samples and other body fluid samples from Covid-19 positive patients.

Working as a rotating Medical Technologist, my responsibilities include phlebotomy, sample processing in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Immunohematology, Clinical Microscopy, Immunology & Serology and Microbiology. After 1 year working in this institution, I got promoted to a supervisory position as a Immunology/ Serology Unit Head. My tasks includes but not limited to: monitoring and ordering of reagents, monitoring and documenting Quality Control, compile and submit monthly surveillance data report to the Department of Health (DOH).
