Former Harrods' senior fashion buying assistant, Steffi Cua’s fashion career started in the Philippines as a designer to several well-known homegrown brands from 2009-2014. She moved to London in 2014 to pursue postgraduate studies, graduating with distinction from the Buying & Merchandising program of UAL’s London College of Fashion.Steffi Cua cut her teeth at the prestigious buying offices of Harrods in Knightsbridge, London, working with luxury superbrands such as Balmain, Alaïa and Gucci, curating the best designer ready-to-wear for their global clientele. Prior to this, she was responsible for the wholesale and distribution strategy of emerging London, Paris and New York-based brands such as Koché, Ryan Roche and Peter Pilotto, often working hand-in-hand with retail behemoths such as Net-a-Porter (online), Galeries Lafayette (Paris) and Lane Crawford (Hong Kong).In 2019, she started research and development for her ethical resortwear brand, Idyllic Summers, which she officially launched in 2021. Idyllic Summers collaborates with women’s co-operatives and indigenous tribes to support traditional, endemic crafts and handiwork.
