Member of the supervisory board of ESN Groningen. The main task of the General Board is to form and supervise the implementation of the long-term vision of ESN Groningen through the long-term strategic plan. Other tasks include the checking and approving of the policy, the budget, the annual and half year reports as proposed by the Daily Board.

During my full time board-year I was the treasurer of ESN Groningen.ESN stands for Erasmus Student Network, an European wide organization which develops and supports student mobility. Within ESN Groningen, I worked in a team consisting of six ambitious and enthusiastic students and together we organize twice a year the ESN Introduction Week for around 2000 international students in total. Our goal is to provide them the best experience of their life in Groningen. Besides that ESN Groningen's day to day business is organizing several activities and events for international students throughout the whole year. As treasurer, my main tasks included: - Composing a financial budget- Composing a financial half-year and year report - Bookkeeping, paying/sending out invoices- Close contact with commercial partners - Organizing various activities for all international students - Keeping track of the committees' budgets- Supervising two committees: the Excursion Committee & the Hitchhike Committee

Experience Groningen is a 2-day event to inspire and show international students relevant opportunities that Groningen has to offer for their future careers. This project was commissioned by the Municipality of Groningen. Together with 10 other team members we organised a 2-day event for over 300 international students in Groningen. The project group meetings were held weekly, whereas there was also a steering committee, consisting of representatives of the University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, The province of Groningen as well as the Municipality of Groningen. The meetings for the steering committee were held every 3 weeks in which progress was discussed.My main tasks were the following:- Drawing up a budget and keeping track of the finances, including bookkeeping. - Organising activities and arranging locations as part of the 2-day programme.- Reporting financial reports to the steering committee
