As the Founder and CEO of Getaway Sticks, I lead a women's design brand that combines technological innovation and fashion to create elegant heels out of sneaker foam. With over 3.5 years of experience in entrepreneurship and product development, I have successfully launched and scaled a unique footwear line that offers comfort, style, and durability to women of all ages and backgrounds.My passion for footwear innovation stems from my academic background in neuroscience, where I obtained my PhD from Baylor College of Medicine and published multiple papers on synesthesia and brain connectivity. As an Assistant Professor at the same institution, I continue to apply my scientific knowledge and skills to understand the biomechanics and psychology of women's footwear, and to improve the design and functionality of Getaway Sticks. I also speak fluent Spanish and enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures.
