PennPAC is a 501(c)3 independent nonprofit with a mission to harness the intellectual talents and professional skills of alumni of the University of Pennsylvania in a meaningful and socially beneficial way. Accordingly, PennPAC works with nonprofit organizations to help solve their business challenges through the engagement of Penn alumni who serve as pro bono consultants for short-term projects. PennPAC does not receive funding from the University, but rather relies on the generosity of our donors — PennPAC consultants, Board members, Penn alums and others — who believe in our work to provide the necessary financial support.

Stefani Hite is a professional learning education consultant who specializes in supporting systemic educational change initiatives in schools, districts, learning associations, and state departments. Her work is primarily focused on building teacher and administrator instructional capacity, standards-based grading practices, curriculum development, and strategic assessment strategies. Hite designs, manages, and implements leadership sessions to encourage educators to push their practice in meaningful ways and provides interactive learning opportunities in face-to-face, blended, and online environments.Hite is a member of ASCD’s FIT Teaching® (Framework for Intentional and Targeted Teaching®) Cadre. Some significant accomplishments in her consultant work include the design and implementation of a statewide teacher evaluation process in New Jersey; the design and facilitation of curriculum reviews in language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, humanities, and physical education; the design and facilitation of elementary and middle school reforms; the design and management of the transition from traditional grade reporting to a criterion-referenced system for multiple school districts; and the design and implementation of a preK–12 assessment system overhaul for a U.S. international school program.Prior to her education consultant work, Hite served as deputy head (principal) of a preK–13 international school in the United Kingdom, curriculum director for a countywide support institution, curriculum supervisor for several school districts in Pennsylvania, and a classroom teacher in elementary, middle, and high school.Hite holds a Doctor of Education and a Master of Science in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Tufts University. She also holds superintendent, K–12 principal, curriculum and instruction supervision, and elementary education certificates.

Authentic Education has its roots in almost 20 years of school reform at the international level and provides practical, effective consulting services specializing in design and teaching for understanding, effective assessment, and thoughtful school change. Following the UbD model, Hite provides professional learning experiences related to curriculum and assessment development.

Day-to-day managerial duties included supervising personnel and operations in Curriculum/Assessment, Information Technology, Health & Safety, Facilities, and Boarding divisions, as well as supervising budgets of £12 million.

Accomplishments included implementing district-wide master elementary schedule, K-5 progress report revision, district-wide standards referenced assessment system, and several curriculum reviews. Day-to-day managerial duties included supervision of 200+ staff members and budget of $84 million; designing and delivering professional development; facilitating educational technology 1:1 implementation; supporting Superintendent’s office on teacher association relations, grant writing and facilitating, policy development, marketing and public relations efforts.

Accomplishments included grant writing, curriculum review facilitation, district technology and strategic plan writing, developing University partnerships, writing informational items, Middle States Accreditation team work, piloting web-based curriculum mapping and assessment solutions.
