Department Of Immunology - Complement And Antibodies
The aim of my research is to discover the role of the complement system in the induction of anti-PTM antibodies in autoimmune diseases like Rheumatoid arthritis and Systemic lupus erythematosus. To assess this, I make use of in vitro and in vivo models.

Micreos develops the world's first targeted antibacterial products. They make use of "Bacteriophages" to selectively kill bacteria. My project involves the isolation and characterisation of new bacteriophages against Campylobacter spp.
During this internship I will be focused on "Whooping cough", also called Bordetella pertussis. Which is a highly contagious gram-negative bacterium that infect the airway and lungs. My project focus on two important virulence factors, filamentous haemagglutinin and pertactin. Which are involved in the adhesion to the epithelial cells of the airway.
