Currently on hold. uMe Group AS (formerly Includu - now the product name) is a patented interactive VFX/XR and ad solution for the online video and video advertising market. Patented in Los Angeles through Gausst Inc. After attempts to develop the technology in Norway Stein bought back the rights in March 2022 and currently owns the technology 100%. Patents have been granted in USA, China and Russia and are patent-pending in other large markets. Includu will need large capital investments if to succeed.

Smartbloc, a unique building system with a light, efficient and simple construction method that is environmentally friendly, strong, diffusion open and fire-resistant. Stein worked strategically to position both Smartbloc, in close collaboration with the founder, and Envion Group, from brand building and communication, product sales and physical construction work, to raising capital seed investments. I sold my Envion shares in March 2022.

StadiaPitch, an automated stadium changeover system allowing for back to back football matches and rock concerts. Worked on strategically positioning StadiaPitch by Bosch Rexroth, from branding, appearance and communication to product and sales strategy, including collaboration tools, documents, presentations, website, videos and webinar. Project Manager for two Mediability customer projects; NEP and Statens Vegvesen. Strong focus on communication, outstanding issues, visualizing dependencies and reporting. Also set up Expo Room, Atrium and Auditorium at Media City Bergen for Vizrt with VR and AR graphics using Mo-Sys and Ncam camera tracking systems.

Project Manager for Playout, Branding and Promo Production subprojects of TV 2’s GPO – Greenfield Playout Project. GPO, a technology lead transformation project, will take TV 2 to be one of the smartest media houses in Europe. Strong focus on cross projects communication, outstanding issues and visualizing dependencies and timelines, coordinated daily needs of and from teams, vendors and customer. Transferred Playout and Branding projects to TV 2 in November 2017, and Promo Production in January 2018.

Elliptic Labs, the world leader in touchless ultrasound gesture and proximity sensing. Initiated internal project managements tools for preventive workflows, communication, business- and issue tracking. Presented Elliptic Labs’ technology to customers in Asia, and managed project with customer and partner, and coordinated daily needs of on-site FAEs and team in Oslo. Helped launch product on the Philippe Stark designed Xiaomi Mi Mix, seen as one of the greatest innovations in mobile phone design since the first iPhone.

Bergen, Vestland, Norway

While working on uMe Group/Includu Stein performed virtual set consultancy services for Vizrt where customer projects included Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football and BBC’s Match of the Day, and election productions for both Denmark’s Radio and TV2 Denmark.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Entered into strategic agreements with Vizrt and film company Occidental Studios and opened Gausst Inc in Los Angeles in 2006. Was responsible for a virtual green screen mixed reality VFX studio in Hollywood. Served as general manager, sales- and project manager as well as operator for clients including Blue Men Group, ABC Good Morning America, a Super Bowl ad for FedEx, and the feature film "Green Zone", directed by Paul Greengrass, for whom we developed a first-of-its-kind virtual studio laptop system. Also co-produced, start to finish, the kids DVD “The Music Box – A Dance-Along Fairytale”.Wrote the patent “Real time video inclusion system” in 2007, now owned by Stein through uMe Group AS.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Started Vizrt's office in Los Angeles and as the Western Regional Sales Manager focused on sales to television stations and film productions. Was responsible and co-responsible for many significant new signings for Vizrt that in 2004 only had a few smaller customers in the region. New customers included KABC, KCBS and DirecTV among TV stations. Worth noting is that KABC was the first local TV station from ABC who signed with Vizrt in the U.S. and ABC is now a major local TV customer for Vizrt in several US markets.

London, United Kingdom

Co-started the highly successful London business for Vizrt and as Project Manager was involved in originating sales of Vizrt’s software to new clients and, once sold, managing installations and coordinating all aspects of creative and technical support. Customers included ITN and B Sky B.Initiated and helped develop a Vizrt software solution we called Viz|Fx, an adaptation of Vizrt’s Virtual Studio product specifically designed for use by the motion picture industry, and used successfully on the feature film “Red Riding Hood”, directed by Randal Kleiser whose credits include “Grease” and “Blue Lagoon”. “Red Riding Hood” was the first known film in motion picture history to use this kind of technology for the whole duration of a feature film.

At the end of 1999 Stein went freelance and worked as a 3d animator for leading post production facilities Double Negative Visual Effects and The Moving Picture Company in London, UK.

After graduation Stein relocated to London and joined The Moving Picture Company as a 3d Animator working on commercials, titles and idents as well as on feature films.

Summer job at Norway's largest commercial TV station - TV2. Stein worked at the special projects graphic department that later seperated and became Vizrt, Norway.
