What I find most interesting about being a software developer is to work together with other people to solve challenging problems in a creative way. I love to see great solutions evolve by discussing with customers and other developers. I truly believe that the best solutions are created together in divergent teams, and that system development at the bottom is a creative profession.I have a passion for writing readable and maintable code. A good way to achieve this is to learn by sharing the code and ideas by using code reviews and pair programming. An important part of being a professional software developer is to deliver quality.I love to work with object oriented code. By following object oriented principles (ex. SOLID), I think it is much easier to create high quality code. I also like the concept of a domain model - mainly because it is easier to discuss issues with end users when the concepts in code and real world is the same. It is also important to involve end users early.In my career I have mostly been working in an agile manner (Scrum and Kanban). My experience tells me that it is important to have a well-known culture and processes in any organization. It is important to have a good balance between predictability for developers and customers, and to react fast to market.I am looking into new technologies in my daily work, but also in my spare time. I look at videos, read blogs and articles, attend meetings about coding, and also creates own projects as: www.lagidrett.no (A communication and managing solution for sport teams)I have been working with web solutions, phone apps, layered-, service oriented-, and larger enterprise systems, etc. I have been working with databases, infrastructure and business code, and user interface.
