About Roeland Stekelenburg

First and foremost Roeland Stekelenburg (1963) is a journalist. Once a journalist, always a journalist. But Roeland is also a highly experienced digital strategist. He guides companies and institutions through the rapidly changing digital landscape and helps them distinguish between technological hypes and the underlying trends. By demystifying hypes like AI and stripping them of the opportunistic nonsense of consultants and CEOs who have an interest in mystifying them, a clear picture emerges of which trends are important for your business.Roeland always works on the basis of (his own) research and analysis, supplemented by a thorough inventory of relevant examples in the outside world. This results in an evidence based and executable strategy. Clients include media companies, publishers, ministries, (international) sports federations, sports leagues and clubs, among others. With years of experience as an advisor and entrepreneur, Roeland is also a valued supervisor. Over the years he has served on the supervisory boards of Omrop Fryslân, Topsport Amsterdam and Regional Public Broadcasting, among others.

Listed skills include New Media, Television, Journalism, Video, and 17 others.
