14 years of subtitling experienceIn the DDT program since 2018 with Plint – Translated countless TV productions (feature films, shorts, documentaries, TV series, reality shows, comedy, stand-up, musicals, and so on), both from English and Spanish; Switched focus to streaming platforms during the last few years;Quality-checked translations, ensuring they are up to standard.I try to deliver translations that sound as natural as if they were written in the target language. Most often than not, I find the right idiomatic expression that gives flavor to the text. I can juggle between registers, I can switch from slang and colloquialisms to formal speech and period drama. I tend to do well with wordplay and lyrics. I can handle sensitive content. I can be succinct and I am always mindful of the reading speed. I am thorough and I always check my facts. Whenever in doubt, I search the reference materials until I am satisfied I got the meaning right. I am punctual and diligent, and I learn and I grow with every new job. My ultimate goal is to provide a high-quality product that guarantees a great watching experience for the viewer.I have an inquisitive mind and I take pleasure in learning new things and growing both as a professional and as a person. I am looking into branching out into related, and not so related, fields.I am also considering switching from freelancing to a full-time job.I am a member of Subtle and Women in Localization.
