About Shannon Stell, Sphr, Gphr, Shrm-Scp

Shannon is the Recruiting Manager, with the USO, for the United States and Europe. Her goal is to lead her team to find the best talent and partner with leaders to ensure employees are happy and able to grow within our organization. With over twenty-two years of extensive corporate recruiting and human resources experience, Shannon assists executives and managers with full life-cycle recruiting and employee relations. In her previous role as Regional HR Manager, Shannon supported recruitment and employee relations. Among her areas of responsibility are talent acquisition, employee relations, strategic planning for HR, social media recruitment, and career development. Previous to joining The USO, Shannon gained extensive experience as a Human Resources Manager for StratusLIVE and Recruiting Manager for Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, Dixon Hughes Goodman (public accounting) and Ferguson, a Wolseley PLC company, (wholesale distributor of building materials). Some of her accomplishments and experience during her tenure include recruiting of IT, Accounting and Sales/Management personnel; developing national and regional internship programs, managing the global HR needs for expatriates from recruitment to relocation. Shannon received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky. She has also earned the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designations through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and SHRM-SCP through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
