• Responsible for 100 staff and 2500 learners, 2000 of which are adult learners and based on 4 campuses. • Attend meetings with Local Enterprise Partnerships and at the department of Business, Innovation and Skills on key area priorities. • Promote and develop opportunities for community engagement in partnership with stakeholders including the London Boroughs of Barnet and Enfield, Job Centre Plus, private training providers, employers, universities and other educational organisations. • Shape the College’s International Strategy and lead on international student recruitment and project work with the British Council and Ecorys (now Erasmus+)• Lead on any international inward or outward missions. • Provide business plans for any non-funded projects/provision. • Meet income targets for non-funded projects and develop bespoke courses to suit local, national and international needs. • Effectively manage budgets and income generation for the curriculum area in accordance with the College’s Financial Regulations. • Develop a marketing strategy for the area. • Develop the curriculum area’s work with employers through close liaison with the Business Development Team, ensuring that the curriculum offer is demand led and responsive to local, regional and national priorities. • Monitor and develop the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of teaching and learning within the curriculum areas, in line with College policies. • Use a wide range of College performance data to set and achieve challenging targets for the maximisation of improvements and to assist in measuring success • Ensure the learner voice strategy is fully embedded in the evaluation of all aspects of teaching, learning and course management. • Manage performance, appraisal and development of relevant curriculum staff within the curriculum area, setting annual performance targets.

• Liaise with community stakeholders and undertake quality management responsibilities for off-site and partnership delivery for curriculum programmes.• Develop a suitable curriculum for the area meeting learner needs.• Complete the area’s Self-Assessment Review and implement key areas for improvement. • Manage area budget.• Secure improvements in the quality of the provision evidenced by increasing success rates of learners within the curriculum area, in line with College and curriculum area targets. • Manage staff performance in line with quality processes. • Coach and support relevant curriculum staff to achieve, improve and develop to their full potential. • Increase the income of EFL full cost recovery provision
