The last year her research activities are focused on the interaction between Human rhinovirus and the innate immune system. Within the research programme Thalis- MIDAS she investigates the mechanism of innate immune maturation and the influence of infections and their role in the development of atopy and asthma. Also, she is an active contributor in European project with the acronym PreDicta. Finally, she has started to investigate the differential expression patterns of miRNAs of the host after Rhinovirus infection as antiviral defense mechanisms.
