I provide 1:1 coaching and spiritual direction using a combination of Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Neurolinguistic Programming, and Ericksonian Hypnosis. This allows the amazing souls I work with to identify what they are feeling, why they are feeling that way, and what stories they are telling both consciously and subconsciously about their lives... and to decide whether to mend and tend those stories, to change those stories, or to see those stories safely to an ending point.

Complex care and general pediatric care to Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota patients at the Plymouth location.

Provides superior primary pediatric care for complex and general patients, maintaining a consistent care model for patients with diverse treatment needs, including a large Somali population and Hispanic population insured via medical assistance programs. Responsibilities are split: 15% in hospital rounds and 85% in outpatient clinic. Plays active role in practice management, staff leadership, and operational initiatives. Accomplishments include:-Patient satisfaction ratings exceeding 85% in point of care surveys each year since implementation (2015)-Championed system-wide working group to devise workflows to evaluate pediatric patients with COVID-19 symptoms in clinic. Ensured implementation of consistent, effective infection control practices to safeguard staff, families and other patients. Policies were extended to 50+ clinics -Provided staff and community leadership during Summer 2020 protests for racial justice which impacted physical operations at University Village clinic. Successfully negotiated with administration and partnered community artists and volunteer clinic staff to spearhead creation of inspirational murals over boarded clinic window. Project extended to interior space and endures as symbol of staff/community unity during the unrest.-Ensured quality patient care is delivered by organizational physicians and mid-level providers as a member of the Credentialing Committee. Conducted review of individual qualifications and performance data to make recommendations to Medical Executive Committee regarding provider competency.-Streamlined care delivery by developing new workflows, implementing screening tools, and optimizing use of EMR for well child checkups, preoperative physicals, and acute visits -Completed successful quality improvement initiative for patients with asthma and ADHD by introducing new workflows to support evidence-based clinical practice guidelines as determined by Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement.

In this rewarding position, I lead a team of medical assistants, nurses, and learners, providing regular coaching and mentorship on best practices in care.My community relations efforts included participating in the local Juneteenth festival as an outreach volunteer to promote pediatric health and partnership, and offering pro bono care at the Minneapolis Crisis Nursery.Prior to this position, I served as pediatric housestaff with the University of Minnesota Pediatric Residency Program, and as a physical exam student instructor at Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health.
