STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.STEM is important because it pervades every part of our lives. Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Engineering is not only concerned with design, building and use of engines and structures, but also tackles the challenges of changing global weather and environmentally-friendly changes to our home. Mathematics is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a job in a STEM field.With a view to permeate STEM-related concepts for the first time in Bangladesh, Daffodil Family has launched STEM Lab on 03 November 2018 at Daffodil International School, DF Tower, House# 11, Road # 14, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1209. Honourable Chairperson of Daffodil Family, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan was the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony. The CEO of Daffodil Family along with members of advisory board of STEM Lab were present there to grace the occasion. Dr Md Mahmudul Hassan, Principal, Daffodil International School and the Convener of STEM Lab offered a welcoming speech with a desire of upcoming development of the lab.
