A long lasting career in the wine & spirits industry is what I was meant to do!Starting in the restaurant business waiting tables and bartending, I quickly realized I had a passion for the hospitality industry.I graduated with a B.S. from Florida International University’s School of Hospitality Management in 1986. Recruited by Marriott International out of college, I managed bars and restaurants for four hotel properties in the Metro NY area. The hotels included the Long Island Marriott, La Guardia Airport Marriott, Marriott Marquis Times Square, and Marriott World Trade Center.Throughout the many food & beverage positions with Marriott, I was always responsible for the procurement of beer, wine & spirits. Having a passion for wine especially, I eagerly demonstrated my growing aptitude for the category and was named Corporate Wine Director for Marriott’s NY Region in 1990. I decided to crossover into the wine industry in 1997 taking a sales position with Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. My first job was Metro NY Manager responsible for market execution to key restaurant and retail accounts. One year later I was promoted to NY State Manager overseeing the business for the entire state.In 2000, I was promoted to Director of Global Accounts for the East Region handling sales for major chain restaurants and hotels headquartered along the east coast. I attained "Supplier of the Year" recognitions for many of these restaurant chains including Morton’s, Olive Garden, The Capital Grille, Outback Steakhouse and The Melting Pot.Internal awards received at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates include a company leading 5-time recipient of our President’s Club and 2-time recipient of the top sales award, Salesperson of the Year.In June of 2009, I was promoted to Vice President of Global Accounts Development. I currently lead a sales team of 13 people across the U.S., arguably the most talented and dynamic Global Accounts - On Premise team in the beverage alcohol industry.
