About myself. My name is Pavlov Stepan. I am from Odesa, Ukraine. At the age of 15, I have entered Maritime College of Technical Fleet, where my career in Marine Industry been started.• At the age of 16, I have joined my first ship, as a Cadet – it was Offshore Dredger in Ukrainian Flag Company “CHERAZMORPUT”.• At 17, I have done one contract on Fishing Trawler in big Odesa fishing company “RPPK CHERNOMORETS”.• At 18, at first, I have joined under-flag vessel. It was small containership, owned by Denmark Company and Managed by V.Ship’s (there was my first experience to work under real Ship Safety Management System).• I was only 19, when I’ve got the chance to become 3-rd Officer in Maersk Line (by chance). My first Officer experience was 2500 TEU Ice Class vessel, which trade route was in Baltic and North Seas coasting during time of winter.• At the age of 21 I have become 2-nd Officer in V.Ship’s.• At 24, becomes Chief Officer in Seaspan Ship Management. In between I was working as a 2-nd Officer in Grimaldi Lines on Ro-Ro Pax Ships.• During the time of making my career at sea, I have managed to complete Maritime College of Technical Fleet, as Navigator with Dynamic Positioning Certificate; then Odesa National Marine Academy, as Deep Sea Captain. And on Government Request, in congestion with PH Doctor Maltsev Anatoliy (honorable member of Nautical Institute of London), I have wrote Scientist Work: “Maneuvering in ports with assistance of tugs on large ships”, where were used models of real ships from Seaspan Ship Management and under their permission. After approval of Scientist Work by Ukrainian Government, I have got my Level of Master of Navigational Science on Open and River Waters. • I was very active member of SMS creation and safety modifications of on board systems, which in result were spread Fleet-wise. Also I was passing the special course for Safety Officer including risk assessment and incident investigation under the authority of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, an executive agency of the department of transport for UK Flag ships. • After I have left Seaspan Ship Management for Promotion to the rank of Master. Curently I am working as a Captain in Conbulk Shipmanagement Corporation. In between I was working in MSC and Ocean Wind Shipping Company.
