Challenging mediocrity is a huge component of who I am and what I bring to every aspect of what I do. Working within an organisation formed to challenge a well-established industry's status-quo is hugely exciting, and I cannot wait to share what we do with more and more Kiwis. As GM of PracMed NZ, since its early days, it has been immensely pleasing to assist and direct the development from a small, passion-based company into a much larger values-based organisation dedicated to helping the lives of New Zealanders through hands-on, evidence-based training. Nothing beats seeing our team's impact on the wider community, growing the confidence and competence of Kiwis, so more become responders, and fewer are witnesses. Prior to this role, I had several years where my athletic career sidelined my professional career. I was fortunate to represent Australia in Weightlifting for several years, including competing in the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, which was an incredible experience.
