Their goal is to increase the education attainment of Louisville residents, with a goal of 55,000 Louisvillians with some postsecondary credential by 2020. Their goal is to increase the education attainment of Louisville residents, with a goal of 55,000 Louisvillians with some postsecondary credential by 2020. To reach this goal they address several barriers along the educational ecosystem which affect one's educational success, such as early childhood education, violence prevention strategies, workforce readiness and more. My service site was Jefferson Community and Technical College, which is part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). I assessed the needs of the student population to increase student activities on campus and address the barriers to student involvement. To create a sustainable system for students to get involved, I develop a leadership workshop for student leaders.
