Build and maintain relationships, Create and deliver proactive and effective PR and Communication plans to promote all of The Percy Hedley Foundation’s activities. This includes fundraising activities, press visits, broader media relations and web presence and capitalising on topical, relevant opportunities in the national, regional and local news agenda.

• Devising, structuring and publishing content in order to produce engaging and informative articles for various sections of the newspaper.• Manipulating content to produce creative designs and layouts that adhere to corporate and style guidelines.• Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders in preparation and support of content.• Using multiple web and digital platforms to drive the target audience towards the newspaper.• Working independently to produce live updates and post-event articles and reports within a small timeframe and to strict deadlines.• Keeping up to date with the latest developments and emerging issues by monitoring broadcast, online and print media and incorporating information into products delivered.• Attending and contributing to editorial meetings to effectively plan assignments, due dates and schedules on a daily basis.• Managing my own workload as well as working as part of a team to ensure the continuous delivery of up-to-date news content.• Supporting the day-to-day operations of various news desks, carrying out key administrative tasks to ensure the team functions efficiently.• Utilising network and key contacts to generate sponsorship and funding for key pieces of newspaper content.• Contributing to the planning and running of events with the aim of positively promoting the work of the newspaper in the local community.
