I am a lawyer working in the areas of environment, planning and local government. I completed my Practical Legal Training with the Environmental Defenders Office – Coal and Human Rights Team, where I worked on matters involving state significant developments, Aboriginal and cultural heritage, climate change and mining; and the University of Newcastle Legal Centre – Law on the Beach clinic, assisting community members with a variety of legal problems including planning, administrative and civil matters. I have a broad professional skillset developed over 15 years working in a diverse range of professional environments. I have many years’ experience working in not-for-profit organisations and have experience working for and engaging with local councils and government bodies. In my previous career as an events, marketing and community engagement specialist I built a professional skillset of impeccable organisation and project management, strategic planning and persuasive communication. As a result, I am adept at developing strong relationships to derive mutual value for clients and partner organisations and deliver on strategic objectives.
