Caseworker for children in OOHC

I work in mostly high behaviour houses with young adults. I support our clients in learning life skills and creating skill development plans. I support our clients to increase their independence. I was in an 'Acting Team Leader' position for approximately 6 months in our Supported Accommodation area in 2013-2014 and enjoyed this experience greatly. I was required to create rosters, organise meetings and meeting agendas, electronic and paper filing, multiple means of correspondence to both internal and external parties and other leadership tasks such as communicating with our team.

While employed by Premier Protection I worked at a range of different events and venues. It was my responsibility to ensure the safety of patrons, to check identification, to monitor patrons behaviour and (In most cases) their alcohol intake. In this role I was put in many situations where I had to 'think on my feet' and use my strong conflict resolution skills.
