As the Simulation Coordinator, I am dedicated to fostering true inter-professional education and training within our hospital group. My role involves creating and running multiple successful simulation programs in various areas, including emergency medicine, paediatrics, stroke, general medicine, and managing deteriorating patients. These programs are designed to enhance the skills and collaboration of healthcare professionals across different disciplines.I have developed comprehensive simulation train-the-trainer programs to ensure that our educators are well-equipped to deliver high-quality training. Additionally, I established the SSWHG Simulation Steering Committee to provide strategic direction and oversight for our simulation initiatives.My responsibilities also include advising on the procurement and maintenance of mannequins and task trainers, ensuring that we have the best tools for effective training. I provide technical support and advice to all members of the hospital group, ensuring seamless operation and integration of simulation activities.Beyond the technical and educational aspects, I manage our social media presence, promoting our programs and engaging with the wider community. I have also created multiple template documents to assist with scenario creation and development, streamlining the process and ensuring consistency across the hospital group.Through these efforts, I am committed to enhancing the quality of education and training, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
