About Steph Williams
Since completing my degree I have worked in a variety of industries and businesses. I initially followed my first love and passion, nutrition, working for local government and the NHS. However, when I secured a role at Weight Watchers in 2015 (see below), it all changed. I fell in love with marketing. I love the evolving nature of the discipline and how it encompasses so much variety within just one role. I have been fortunate that my experience has allowed me to develop in all aspects of marketing. I've kept up to date with the latest marketing trends across everything from social media to event planning and budgeting and creating marketing and content strategies. It's safe to say, I'm never bored!

Marketing And Communications Manager
This role was unfortunately cut short due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. I was made redundant in July, and in the months from March - July my hours were significantly reduced. However, between September 2019 and March 2020, I implemented a full rebrand and delivered a new website. Having these foundations in place allowed me to create a solid marketing strategy and plan which addressed all aspects of marketing in line with business KPI’s. As part of this, I created customer profiles, managed a budget, and looked for PR opportunities for the brand. Although the role didn’t have any direct reports a junior member of the team had a dotted line to me as she assisted on social media. I reported to the board of Directors monthly on the marketing activities and ROI.
Marketing Manager
I took responsibility for looking after the customer promotions across digital, direct sales and retail. As a result, I successfully increased online sales by 5% in collaboration with the digital managers creating comprehensive campaigns, that involved social, email, online. This included working closely with the PR and Social media manager on a variety of PR and content creation days to support the campaigns. I was also responsible for managing the marketing for the launch of the very first UK retail store. In the first 6 weeks of opening, all sales and footfall targets were exceeded. Following the launch, customer promotions were supported in-store with a campaign strategy that included POS, product positioning and meeting with store staff regularly to go through the promotion T&C’s. In addition, I liaised with colleagues across the globe on a variety of projects and became the UK lead for the following: Testing and launching Cookidoo 2.0 – a recipe subscription service for customersLaunching and recruiting Community stars- a community for super fans. I started this from scratch and grew it to over 20 people in just 5 monthsSourcing new products to complement the Thermomix experience and created the campaigns around thisLaunched, managed and implemented a complete re-brand of Thermomix including all printed, digital and online materials for both customers and self-employed sales-force
