• Explored the use of high strength rebars (Fy > 60 ksi) for shear friction at cold joints.• Designed and constructed 24 specimens with varying factors (surface roughness, rebar strength, etc)• Developed a new ACI code provision that allows the use of high strength steel and different construction techniques for increasing shear capacities between concrete members.The paper was published in the September 2022 ACI Journal.

• Analyzed three different lateral systems (SidePlate SMF, BRBF & concrete shear wall) and two different gravity systems (composite metal deck & two-way concrete slab) of a high-rise medical office building. The results were used for a feasibility/cost study.• Designed equipment anchorages for OSHPD projects.• Participated in an intern project, which consisted of designing a two-story hospital building. Designed WUF-W SMF, composite metal deck and piles.• Participated in a research and development project that looked at linking Rhino/Revit models with SAP2000 using an OAPI add-on in Rhino called Grasshopper.
