As solution architect, I’m involved in the design of complex multi-systems integration solutions. I mainly responsible to provide the detail design architecture in collaboration with business and other specialized architects. This includes validating the respect of standard and regulatory requirements. In case where standard don’t exist or can’t be respected, I’m responsible to present options and propose a solution to be approved by the architecture group. I’ve worked at L’Union Canadienne for over 20 years. The owners (L’Union Canadienne, Co-operators and RSA) changed over years. I remotely worked 5 years for a sister company named Sovereign. I also traveled every week from Quebec City to Toronto for a year and a half to develop integration points on a new common system at Co-operators head office.I started in 1992 on IBM Mainframe in COBOL to move on AS400 with RPG four years later. I started using Java and related technologies in 1999. I’ve used ETL tool Informatica and ESB tool OpenESB. I’ve used JEE technologies from JSF to JPA. I have very good knowledge of service oriented technologies like SOAP, WSDL, XML, XSLT, REST and JSON as well as JEE and SOA patterns. I started to learn and use Salesforce and AWS cloud solutions in 2019.I’ve been an active member of the CSIO for 10 years. My work was to propose changes, debate changes and approve changes to AL3 industry standards. I’m also familiar with XML version of CSIO standards.As you probably already guess, I’m a system integration specialist. I work to develop EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) between many systems. I’ve developed multiple integrations points over the years using many technologies including different languages, different communications protocols and using different patterns. I participated in these developments as architect, system analyst, project manager and developer.
