As an Associate Professor at the University of Klagenfurt in the Department of Management Control and Strategic Management, my research primarily focuses on using simulation-based methods, especially agent-based simulation, to explore critical issues at the nexus of management science, organizational research, and complex systems.My work includes the transformation of neoclassical models into multi-agent systems, studying the emergence of management controls, and investigating behavioral control mechanisms within organizations. Additionally, I am engaged in research on organizational and social learning, as well as the principles of bottom-up organizational design.A particular area of interest for me is the reproducibility of results in social sciences. I am dedicated to enhancing how agent-based models and other simulation methods can yield reliable, repeatable findings that endure rigorous academic evaluation. This aspect of my research not only enriches my primary areas of study but also contributes to the broader field of social science research.My academic credentials include a doctoral degree in Social Sciences and Economics from the University of Klagenfurt, achieved in 2012 with distinction. In 2018, I was awarded the venia docendi in Business Economics from the same university. I have several years of experience outside academia, particularly in the hospitality, health, and food industries. This diverse background has equipped me with a unique set of skills and perspectives, valuable in various professional contexts.
