While I was in school, I felt my skills were better suited seeking real-world experience so I dropped out and worked full-time as a contract artist for many clients, large and small. After a few years of building my portfolio, I was hired by Deck Nine (formerly Idol Minds) to work on Life is Strange: Before the Storm as a character artist. I was promoted from Senior to Lead Character Artist while working on Life is Strange True Colors, where I worked closely with the Art Director to create the game's unique stylized realism and manage production for the entire cast of characters. My role as a lead also included providing feedback for outsourced characters models and integrating their assets, building our production pipeline, and coordinating with the cinematic and animation teams to problem-solve. I recently moved to the Nashville, TN area and am working remotely as a character artist and 3d generalist for Kazoo games as well as providing art direction and 3d production for Campfire on their self-titled web-based social platform. I'm always available to talk about new projects as well as offering consultant work for character optimization, asset management, or outsourcing needs.
