I was trained in paid targeted Facebook advertising so that our brand could reach a specific market (within a set budget, of course) and gained experience in communicating appropriately and quickly with customers through various social media channels. Mac Properties takes great pride in their Instagram account, and because of that, I was able to get my hands dirty learning the techniques of utilizing quality photos that will bolster engagement, and writing the appropriate copy that will draw users in. I also contributed a plethora of entries for Mac's blog, writing for both the Kansas City and Chicago regions. In doing so, I was introduced to the wide and intriguing wold of SEOs. Marketing and advertising is my passion, and getting the chance to learn these skills in the multi-family housing industry has provided me with insights and experiences not found in the classroom. Beginning in the fall of 2016, I also took on the role of a Resident Services Coordinator, which put me on the front lines of assisting our current residents. Doing so meant juggling between answering phones, fielding in-person queries, building new leases, ensuring that soon-to-leave residents were prepped and showing apartments for potential transfers. This position fortified my patience, ability to multitask, and has enhanced my absolute love of list. (seriously, Microsoft Excel is my best friend) In the summer of 2017, I was offered a job as a Leasing Consultant, which I still currently hold. Here, my number one priority is the customer. I work with incoming prospects to get a clear understanding of what they want, what they need, and what their budget is, and find the absolute best options for them. This isn't a product that I'm selling them, it's their home, and I make sure that they know they're being cared for. Show less
