After my graduation in European Business (Germany, UK, Spain) in 1995, I started my career with the RTL media group. In 1999, I joined General Electric (GE), where I worked until 2013. My first position in GE was in Consulting at GE Capital IT Solutions. Thereafter I held various global leadership positions in GE Healthcare and GE Enterprise solutions. My last position in GE was General Manager of Renewable Energy Europe. I am a certified Master Black Belt Six Sigma. In September 2013 I joined ARCADIS as CEO of Europe. In May 2014 I was appointed into the Executive Board, initially responsible for the EMEA region as well as digital transformation. From March 2018 I was responsible for Strategy and M&A, Sustainability, Technology, Innovation and Global Shared Services.After 25 years of permanent full-time employment while my wife stayed at home to focus on our four boys, we have decided to "swap" roles. My wife is now working full-time, while I dedicate my time to the family as well as share my experience as (supervisory) board member and executive mentor/coach, as well in non-profit environments.I love my new "freedom", and am very intrigued what the future will bring.
