My area of expertise covers the full spectrum of intellectual property protection (national and international), including trademarks, patents and utility models, industrial designs, competition law, advertising of products, and contract law, in particular licensing, cooperation and know-how contracts; due diligence, Freedom to Operate (FTO), and Trademark watch services. Where the situation requires it I advice on solution strategies where IP rights are not (or no longer) available, as well as preparing strategies at the interface between trademarks, design, copyright and competition law.I specialize in preliminary injunction and related opposition proceedings as well as main actions, also in cancellation or nullity actions, all before the civil courts and Offices. My clients include national and international corporations, start-ups and sole traders from sectors as varied as home furnishings, toys, clothing, household goods, kitchens, cosmetics, gastronomy/food as well as measuring technologies, medical devices, pharma, software products, software as a service (SaaS), to mention just a few. I also give regular talks to companies and lectures at the Entrepreneurship Center of Munich’s Ludwig Maximilian University.
