I have worked for the Defense Commissary Agency since 2002. In the beginning I was a cashier, but not wanting to be confined to only one area, I wanted to learn everything about any other area. I have stocked merchandise in meat, produce, and grocery. To better serve the store, I received forklift training which helps during receiving trucks and breaking down the loads. I have experience with ordering stock and maintaining proper inventory to met the demands our patrons.I took part in a in-house internship and worked alongside managers from grocery, produce, and meat to gain experience and first hand knowledge in all departments.I have been executing ground level sales promotions through display building. I have been involved in an “Eat Five a Day” promotion. Store received national recognition for 1st prize in 2007. I contributed towards the growth of existing brand lines with Continental Sarvis for an increase in sales for a total of 134% in 2006. We successfully cross merchandised with other departments to increase sales in the produce department for peanut sales of a total of 7% in 2006, and 11% in 2007. Resulting in receiving honorable mention for 2006, and 1st place nationally for 2007 for the "Taste of Home" competition. I have been regularly participating in aggressive promotional planning with Grocery Department for an increase in sales of 314% in 2007 for Skippy brand products.I have been involved in building displays for “Back to School” promotions and “Dollar Day Sales” event. Store received recognition of honorable mention in 2007.Frequently lead a team of people and delegated to others the tasks they were responsible for to complete our assignment. My ultimate goal is to maintain and improve existing business processes and continue to provide the highest quality of service to the men and women of the United States military at any one of the military instillations around the world.
