Civil engineering and especially geotechncail engineering and land surveying is my passion. I love every aspect of engineering. I love the people I get to know, the projects I work on, the problems I solve and the places I go. I started by getting a civil engineering degree from Oregon State University. During my time there, I became especially fond of geotechncial engineering and land surveying. Because of that, I decided to pursure further education by getting a masters of engineering degree specialazing in geotechncial engineering with a minor emphasis on land surveying. After my formal educaiton, I got a job with Kiewit. At Kiewit, I traveled around the country and got to work on some of the largest and most complicated construction projects in the country. Some of my fondest memories and intense esperiences are from my time with Kiewit, but I always knew, that I would eventually have to get back to my roots on the Oregon coast. After Kiewit, I got a job with Civil West Engineering in Coos Bay, Oregon. I enjoyed my time there, and got to see engineering from the other side of the spectrum. At Civil West Engineering, I worked on a large variety of public and private civil engineering projects. I learned a lot and grew a lot during my time there, but I knew I eventually wanted to work somewhere where I got to practice more geotechnical engineering and land surveying, so when the opportunity arose for me to join Cascadia Geoservices and Estabrook Land Surveying, I knew that that was the opportunity I had always had my eyes set on.
