Deputy Secretary/Director and Investigation Manager at the Dutch Safety Board (DSB), responsible for the sectors aviation and industry and the knowledge domains defence and public order/crisismanagement and relief. Also Investigation Manager for several large investigations, such as risks for local residents from industrial emissions, barn fires, the collapse of the roof of the AZ Alkmaar Stadium, the rain of firesparks on Scheveningen beach on New Year's night 2019, the follow-up on the recommendations made by the DSB in the MH-17 report concerning flying over conflict zones, and projects concerning the food safety system and the collision of a benzene tanker with a dam.Until september 2017 manager of the center for projects, programmes and advice at the Ministry of Security and Justice. Experience also includes dissertation concerning the dynamics of deadly governmental accidents ('Between Error and Evil', PhD June 8, 2015) and scientific research on rule breaking by governments. Experience in large governmental organization and national police organization. Various projects, policy driven as well as organization driven projects.
