HISTORY ROCKED - ROCKED ALL OVER THE WORLD!
In late 2023, Sabaton did something no other rock band has ever done. In November, Sabaton's own animated film "The War To End All Wars - The Movie" was shown in almost 150 museums in more than thirty different countries around the world. According to overwhelming feedback, the film sparked a whole new interest in historical narratives through the revered lens of heavy metal.This huge series of events called History Rocks, which revolved around Sabaton's acclaimed film, was first and foremost a charity project. The film was given to museums for free and these places could show the movie as often as they wanted around the two weeks of Armistice Day. How the premieres were hosted was complety up to the museums, if the wanted they could even organise a rock festival around the film screenings. The ultimate goal of Sabaton and History Rocks was to increase the visibility of museums everywhere and introduce these amazing places to a new audience, largely made up of Sabaton's huge global fan base. The end result was a great success for everyone involved: the band, the museums and the fans!
