With nearly three decades of expertise in geospatial technologies, knowledge graphs, NLP, and AI, my career has been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data interoperability and usability. My leadership and collaborative work with standardization bodies such as the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), ISO, and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) have been pivotal in promoting global interoperability of geospatial information. Through these efforts, I've contributed to the development of standards that ensure seamless data exchange and harmonization across various platforms, playing a crucial role in the advancement of data compatibility and accessibility worldwide.My experience includes serving as the principal investigator for a DARPA project, where I led a team in tackling complex challenges at the forefront of technology and defense. This role, coupled with my contributions to other defense agencies, underscores my capacity for leading high-impact research and development projects that align with the strategic goals of national security and technological innovation.A significant part of my work has involved building a comprehensive semantic stack, designed to enhance the interoperability and functionality of AI systems. This includes the development of advanced versioned RDF databases that provide a robust framework for managing and querying complex datasets with temporal dimensions. Additionally, I've pioneered the creation of conversational AI agents, utilizing cutting-edge NLP techniques to facilitate natural and effective human-computer interaction with enterprise knowledge graphs. My work in virtualization techniques further exemplifies my commitment to leveraging technology to create scalable, efficient solutions that address real-world problems.By focusing on the integration of semantic technologies with standards development, I have strived to close the gap between disparate data systems, enabling a more connected and accessible digital ecosystem.
