This is a 150m long linear electron accelerator made to study the feasibility of a larger machine.I've designed, studyied and maintained RF systems from the Low-Level RF to the accelerating structures including high power sources (14 times 3 GHz / 40 MW sources), 0 to 30 GHz RF measurement systems, RF production, distribution, amplification and conditionning.I've also participated in the design of a temperature mapping system for the Superconducting Proton Linac (SPL) accelerating cavities where I was in charge of the electronics systems which will acquire the cavities surface temperatures around 2K (-271°C) during the testing of the cavities, prior to their installation in the machine.I've been working for the AWAKE project, a proof of concept project for Plasma Wakefield Acceleration where I'm in charge of designing the RF synchronization system in the femtoseconds range between the 3 GHz high power source used for the electron beam, a femtosecond laser and the CERN SPS (Super Proton Synchrotron).Since the last 5 years I'm mainly focusing on the beam control RF designs for PS accelerator (Proton-Synchrotron).
