Department of engineering, research, and development- Selection of treatment processes (sand filtration, granular activated carbon, ion exchange resins,foam fractionation, etc.) used to treat industrial wastewater, including leachates from solid wastemunicipal landfills and contaminated groundwaters- Hands-on experience with designing, building, and troubleshooting water treatment systems usedto determine the ideal treatment solution for municipal drinking water and industrial wastewater- Development of novel water treatment solutions for the removal of emerging contaminants (per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances): 1 patent pending technology, 2 pilot-scale studies- resented an information session on emerging contaminants, also presented development work atthe RPIC 2021 conference- Responsibilities include implementation of water sampling programs, data analysis, and draftingrecommendations for senior management- Supervision and training of laboratory technicians and co-management of multiple concurrent PFAS water treatment projects- Implementation of an LCMS used to expand the company’s research capabilities- Active member of the internal joint health and safety committee (since March 2020)

Conducted experiments at Carleton University and at the Polytechnique de MontréalMaster's project: Evaluation of the performance of a chemically-enhanced backwash for fouling control of water filtration membranes- Setup and conducted experiments, performed data analysis, and currently preparing for publication - Gained experience with automatic system control, programmable logic controllers, PIDs, pump and valve operation.- In-depth understanding of water quality parameters, their impact on treatment processes, and their determination using standard methods.
