As Vice President of LTSS Programs, I am responsible for the management and oversight of operations and program management of CHOICES, Tennessee’s Medicaid Long Term Services and Supports program; SelectCommunity, an integrated care management program for certain persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities; and Employment and Community First (ECF) CHOICES, a new home- and community-based services program specifically geared toward promoting and supporting integrated, competitive employment and independent living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. * Operations incudes a Support Center, Network Management, Program Management, Care Coordination, Compliance and Reporting * Serves as driver of primary success objectives through building and running an operational infrastructure that grows government business* Fosters an effective collaboration between network development, medical management, and operations to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Program* Executes the company’s strategic planning process and constructs the annual strategic plan, including the development of new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall performance

Individual with principal responsibility for BCBST’s Cover Tennessee contract, which includes the state’s SCHIP, high-risk pool, and a limited benefit plan.

CoverTN is a partnership between the state, employers and individuals that makes health care coverage affordable for everyone. As Director, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as identifying and executing product and market expansion opportunities.

Successfully led a staff of 20 employees who handled over 30,000 phone calls from consumers and the investigation of 7,000 written complaints a year against insurance companies and agents. CIS also provided consumer education about insurance products.

Developed a regional teritory in which I cultivated relationships with brokers and their clients to design and implement employee benefits programs.
