Stephanie A. Black is a trial attorney focused on representing injured clients, with a special emphasis on railroad workers under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) and those injured in rail-related incidents. Recent successes include a $25 million verdict in Carroll County, IL (June 2023) and a $1.33 million verdict in Cook County, IL (October 2022), both in FELA cases.Previously, Stephanie served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Madison County, IL, prosecuted a variety of criminal cases, and later worked at a defense firm representing businesses and school districts. She graduated summa cum laude from Southeast Missouri State University and earned her law degree from Southern Illinois University, where she excelled in advocacy competitions.Stephanie is President of the Women Lawyers' Association of Greater St. Louis, serves on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and is active in the Illinois State Bar Association’s Energy and Transportation Section.
