CurrentMaintaining a caseload of over 1,000 files in 2+ states with multiple attorneys working as a solo paralegal; Prepare various motions, discover, correspondence to judges and opposing counsel, notices, correspondence to client, orders; Review docket: Research legal matters and case law; Prepare attorney for court hearings; Review lack of prosecution notices; Training of new hires in the contested dept.; Review and process correspondence and communications with client; Correspondence between… Show more Maintaining a caseload of over 1,000 files in 2+ states with multiple attorneys working as a solo paralegal; Prepare various motions, discover, correspondence to judges and opposing counsel, notices, correspondence to client, orders; Review docket: Research legal matters and case law; Prepare attorney for court hearings; Review lack of prosecution notices; Training of new hires in the contested dept.; Review and process correspondence and communications with client; Correspondence between Opposing Counsel and Client regarding loss mitigation options including loan modification, DILs, short sales, etc.; Prepare responses to lack of prosecution notices then preparation of letter with proposed order on the lack of prosecution and submit to Judge; Prepare correspondence to judges with Orders pursuant to hearings and Agreed Orders; Prepare correspondence to opposing counsel and outside counsel; Prepare various motions, responses, and proposed orders, including timely filing extension, obtaining agreed orders on the extensions, and following up as to deadlines; Research and review title cases/contacted title cases; Work with title companies on title issue cases; 8+ years experience with reviewing titl, trusts, divorce, judgments, etc and preparation of documents; 8+ years experience in title processing; Ability to read and process a survey,; Experience with preparing title legal documents;Preparation of Last Will and Testaments, Trusts, Financial Durable Power of Attorney, correspondence; billing; Ability to process a file; Knowledge of claims procedures; Review contested cases Show less
