I’m not your typical Revenue Cycle operations leader. I am a data geek that loves to slice and dice numbers. My education in Information Systems has been a big benefit in my Healthcare career. My mind works like a computer and is constantly running on If/Then statements which allows me to bring a fresh perspective and investigative process to operations. Few things make me roll my eyes more than asking Why and getting the answer, ‘That’s how we’ve always done it’. From the time I was little I was constantly asking Why and I have never stopped. This is why my team calls me the ‘5 Why Queen’. Who knew I had been using Lean methodologies my entire life? Although frustrating to some people, my constant need to understand Why has results in millions of dollars of increased revenue and cost savings over the years. Developing future leaders is one of my passions. I have a knack for pushing people out of their comfort zone to face their fears. Helping someone change the trajectory of their future is amazing and much more satisfying than meeting KPI’s.
