Responsible for providing support to the Teacher with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care, and safety of students with special needs in the general education setting while minimizing distractions and disruptions.

Responsible for collaborating with the Special Education Teacher to meet each student's learning, behavior, and sensory needs. Monitor, reinforce, and implement student learning and behavior intervention plans. Lead small group instruction aligned to each student’s individual education plan.Interventionalist: Responsible for providing high-quality general education instruction to students who are at-risk in reading (phonics kit, site word fluency, reading fluency) writing, and/or mathematics.Working with school personnel in the Problem-Solving Model-Response to Intervention (PSM-RtI) process by assisting in determining Intervention Plan and Individualized Education Program Services. Participating in universal screening activities and assisting with the analysis of the data to identify students in need of a response to Intervention services.Maintaining records of intervention and progress monitoring to ensure process fidelity.Administering DIBELS Next tests & Kindergarten readiness assessments.
