Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of SpeechGeek and SpeechGeek Market, one of the largest providers of educational materials to the high school speech and debate community. Duties include (but are not limited to) the following:- Review and edit literary submissions for publication. - Contribute original literature for publication. - Offer performance feedback through our forensics diagnostic services. - Create educational and instructional materials for forensics instructors on both the high school and collegiate levels. - Write and promote blog posts about topics pertaining to the forensics community.- Utilize social media to engage an audience of over 5,300 fans on Facebook (fb.com/speechgeek), over 1,200 followers on Twitter (twitter.com/forensicate), and continue to expand our presence on Tumblr (forensicate.tumblr.com) and Pinterest (pinterest.com/forensicate). - Assist in distributing payment and managing an online storefront of 20 different speech and debate vendors. - Track data to compare current sales to previous months/years.- Ensure the distribution of both digital and printed materials. - Provide timely and courteous customer assistance. - Identify opportunities for community outreach. - Use Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop to create store images. - Help with promotion of the site and creation of advertisements.
