A retired banking & finance executive, I am passionately involved in animal welfare legislative advocacy—working with lawmakers, staff, and officials at local, state, and federal levels to promote animal welfare legislation. I love using my networking, finance, legal, and relationship management skills to support animal welfare advocacy efforts, recruit like-minded advocates, and do hands-on animal rescue work.In light of our country’s current economic conditions, I also work with a local food pantry organization to include pet food for families at food distribution events. I operate an emergency-need pet food pantry at my home. I feel strongly about keeping families and their pets together and providing various forms of assistance to do that. With solidly established skills—especially relationship development & relationship management—and 25+ years of work experience, I’m looking for dynamic volunteer or paid opportunities as an advocate, committee member, community outreach rep, volunteer coordinator, and/or board member for animal welfare and other community organizations that work to keep families and their pets together.A former San Franciscan, I am located in the Houston Metro Area close to the water. I live with my husband and three rescued/adopted dogs and usually have a foster dog or two enjoying our hospitality 🐾🐾
